Fonda Wilson Crawford
Fonda Wilson Crawford, serves on the Somerset City Council as an elected official from the 10th Ward.
Ms. Crawford is a life-long resident of Somerset. She is a graduate of Somerset High School, Somerset Community College, the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University with degrees in education and administration. She is the Principal at Hopkins Elementary in the Somerset Independent School System. She currently serves on the state Bias Review Committee for Accountability Testing and the Advisory Board of Directors at Midway College.
Ms. Crawford is the daughter of Elizabeth Prather Wilson and the late James "Jim" Wilson. She is married to James R. Crawford and they have two children; James Reed II and Laura Elizabeth, both students at Somerset Independent.
A Message from Ms. Crawford
I am currently in the second year of my first term of office. It is a great honor and privilege to serve and represent the needs of my community. I look forward in continuing service to the citizens of Somerset.
During my term, I have come to know that Somerset is blessed to have dedicated employees in every department as they provide services day to day. Their expertise keeps our city strong in the present and in preparations for the future.
My goal is to serve within the legal boundaries of the legislative body. My mission is to continue working with community leaders and citizens to create for implementation; services, programs and economic initiatives to ensure a high quality of life for our citizens and children.
