Tim Rutherford

Tim Rutherford serves on the Somerset City Council as an elected official from the 12th Ward.

Mr. Rutherford grew up in Somerset, attended Hopkins Elementary School and graduated from Somerset High School in 1983. He has managed several businesses in Somerset. He was an Operations Manager at K-mart for 14 years and Retail Manager at Cracker Barrel for 3 years. He is currently in the process of starting his own small business. Mr. Rutherford has served on our parks and recreation board from 1996 until being elected to Somerset City Council in November 2004. He has been involved in many local charities over the years. He a Kentucky Colonel.

Mr. Rutherford has one son David. Mr. Rutherford is the son of Ralph and Mae Rutherford. He has two brothers Ralph III and a twin brother Jim. He has four sisters Janet Littrell, Lisa Rutherford, Laura Poynter and Trina Rutherford.

A Message from Mr. Rutherford

I was elected to Somerset City Council in November 2004 and I am looking forward to serving the 12th ward and all citizens of Somerset. I am very honored to serve as a City Council Member.

I feel very strongly about being involved in our community and I am very proud of all of our city's employees and what they do on a daily basis to make our city a great place to live and raise our families.

It is my goal to continue to keep our city moving forward in a direction that will benefit our citizens and children for years to come and to do my part in making our city the best place to live, with the best services in the State of Kentucky.
