How do I sign my child up for any of the youth sports programs?    You can find out what the current youth sports season by looking on this website or call the office at (606) 679-1860.  To sign-up you need to come to the Rocky Hollow Recreation Center during its office hours, fill out a sign-up card, and pay the assigned fee(s).  We do not currently require a birth certificate for our participates.

When are games called off and what do I need to do about finding out about games due to the weather?    Decisions due to weather are made a 3:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM on Saturday mornings.  We make every attempt to contact coaches as soon as we can so they can contact the parents about the canceled game.  If you haven't heard anything from a coach when it's getting close to game time feel free to call the parks game information hotline at (606) 679-9020.  This line is updated as soon as a decision is made about games.

What do I need to do to rent one of your facility.  You need to contact the parks office and ask to speak to the Office Manager about times and dates.

Do you have any leagues for adults?    The parks department currently does not offer any structured sports programs for people over the age of twelve (exception children in the 7th & 8th Grade are allowed in our youth basketball league).  We are looking into the possibility of making some adult sports leagues.

Who is in charge of the Parks & Recreation Department?    The parks & recreation department is part of the City of Somerset and is under the direct control of Joe Ford the Parks Director.  There is a six member board that is part of the Somerset City Council that help the department with its funding and ideas that go in front of the full Somerset City Council.
