AQUATIC POSITIONS:
Position: Lifeguard
For information on life guarding classes feel free to contact SomerSplash Waterpark or the American Red Cross
Lifeguard Description: At SomerSplash they will be required to have current lifesaving certification from a nationally recognized certification agency. Agencies which will be accepted are: American Red Cross (preferred), NASCO, and Ellis. All water staff will be tested on their knowledge of aquatic safety and skills.
Guards are required to demonstrate compliance with all responsibilities and duties as listed in the job description at all times while employed by The City of Somerset – SomerSplash.
Requirements: Maintain current certification in Lifeguarding, Professional CPR/AED, and Standard First Aid. Submit photocopies of all required certifications to SomerSplash prior to the first day of employment.
Must be 16 years old. All applications must be returned to City Hall.
Position: Shallow Water Attendant/ Slide Operator
Shallow Water Attendant Description: They are able to guard/watch any body of water in the waterpark 4 FT deep or less, everything except Wave Pool. They have knowledge in prevention and skills needed in order to help prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies in shallow water up to four feet deep.
Requirements: Must be able to swim. Maintain current certification as a Shallow Water Attendant, Professional CPR/AED, and Standard First Aid. This course will be taught at SomerSplash Waterpark, and all slide operators must and are required to come to participate in these classes. In this course you will receive certifications in the following: Shallow Water Attendant, Professional CPR/AED, and Standard First Aid. This course is free to those that are hired at SomerSplash Waterpark as a Slide Operator/Shallow Water Attendant.
Slide Operators Decription: At SomerSplash they regulate the use of the slides by patrons. They help in assisting patrons when needed and instruct patrons when it is clear to go down the slides.
Slide Operators main responsibilities are to make ensure everyone is the proper height, every patron is suppose to be using the slides, and to ensure everyone follows the rules and regulations of SomerSplash.
Requirements: Must be able to swim. Slide Operators are required to demonstrate compliance with all responsibilities and duties as listed in the job description at all times while employed by The City of Somerset – SomerSplash.

NON-AQUATIC POSITIONS:
Position: Admission
Description: Admission staff at SomerSplash maybe employed in one of the following areas: Ticket office or Gift Shop.
All Admission staff are required to demonstrate compliance with all responsibilities and duties as listed in the job description at all times while employed by The City of Somerset.
Must be 16 years old. All applications must be returned to City Hall.
Position: Concession
Description: Concession staff at SomerSplash maybe employed in the kitchen as a prep cook, line cook, grill cook, or cashier.
