Basketball
Over the winter months at Rocky Hollow we offer leagues from Kindergarten thru 8th grade for recreation. We also offer a AAU styled basketball league that is broken up into Girls and Boys. Girls league starts in the fall and plays into January. Once that league is over our Boys league starts and extends into March or April depending on how many teams we have. Our youth leagues have grown dramatically over the past two years doubling in numbers. The leagues are recreational in nature focusing on individual improvement, equal playing time, and a healthy environment to participate in. Several AAU tournaments are played at Rocky Hollow Recreation Center and the SHS boys Freshman Tournament is held each January. The cost of our youth league is $50.00 per child $80.00 for two.
Soccer
Our soccer program is in its 29th season for ages three to twelve at SomerSport Park. It is comprised of two separate seasons fall and spring. Our program is unique because we have a soccer director name Joe Adams. He can be contacted at SomerSort Park at (606) 677-1258
The fee is $50.00 per child and $80.00 for two.
Soccer Camps
British Soccer Camp
Callenger Sports is the #1 provider of soccer camps in the US and we are proud to partner with them to provide our community with a British Soccer Camp this summer. Professional coaches from Scotland, England, and Wales will be coming Stateside to host over 3,500 camps across the country. The Brits will be coming to Somerset the week of June 18th - 22nd and camp will be held at Somersport Park and is open for players aged 3-11 years old.
Each camper will recieve a soccer ball, t-shirt, evaluation, soccer poster and free online education for coming to camp. For those who register online prior to May 4th, you will also be entitled to a replica game jersey!
Tetra Brizil Soccer Academy
Tetra Brazil Soccer Academy brings the flair and passion of Brazilian soccer to the US. The largest and best Brazilian camp is coming to Somerset June 25th – June 29th. Top Brazilian coaches will put your players through their paces as they will learn moves, skills and tactics from the most successful soccer nation in the world!! Camp is available to players aged 12 – 18 years old and each camper will receive a soccer ball, t shirt, evaluation, soccer poster and free online education for coming to camp. For those who register online prior to May 11th, you will also be entitled to a replica 2012 game jersey!
T Ball
There are two tee-ball leagues for children ages three to six. Tee-ball A (3 & 4 year olds) is an introductory league. It is designed to teach basic fundamentals of baseball such as hitting, throwing, and running bases. Our tee-ball AA (5 & 6 year olds) program prepares children for coach's pitch at the next level. This program teaches defensive positioning, offensive instruction , and other fundamentals of baseball. The cost of our tee ball league is $30.00 per child.

AAU
Throughout the year the Somerset Parks & Recreation Department hosts several AAU basketball tournaments. The Programs Department is always interested on hosting a AAU tournaments in the winter months. If you would like to participate in a AAU Tournament or would like to be a tournament director and hold your tournament at Rocky Hollow Recreation Center please give us a call at (606) 679-1860.
