Three City of Somerset employees were honored at the Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) Annual Conference in September with awards recognizing training accomplishments.
The City Officials Training Center is a voluntary continuing education program administered by KLC. City officials can complete educational levels by attending KLC training events and submitting outside training credit from other municipal training. There are three certificate levels, in addition to a certified municipal officer achievement, that can be obtained by completing a certain number of hours of approved courses.
Level I – Achievement in City Governance: 29 hours of approved courses, 1 hour of ethics
Marc Travis, Safety Director
John Adams, City Attorney
Level II – Excellence in City Governance: 58 hours of approved courses, 2 hours of ethics
Janet Wilson, ABC Administrator
