Somerset City Council has adopted new requirements for citizens who wish to speak at the council’s regular bi-monthly meetings.
Effective Monday, March 24, 2025, pursuant to Municipal Order 25-02 passed unanimously at the last meeting, the requirements are as follows:
- Those who speak must be a resident of Pulaski County and the topic must be relevant or useful to city government.*
- Speakers will be limited to five (5) minutes.
- Anyone wishing to speak must ask to be placed on the agenda by noon on the Friday preceding the next regular meeting.

Requests must include:
Speaker’s name
Home address
Specific topic
Those approved to speak will be notified by 5 p.m. Friday.
* People or entities residing outside of Pulaski County and/or requiring more than five (5) minutes must contact the Mayor’s Office and request an invitation to be placed on the agenda.
